My Grades
| Description: |
- The My Grades tool enables students
to access their grades and
statistics for gradable components
in Blackboard. The student can only
view grades the instructor has
released. Statistics for their
grades will be available if the
instructor has enabled the feature.
Grades for the following tools may
be found in My Grades:
-Gradable Discussions
-Assignments
-Quizzes

How
Do I Access My Grades?
- Click
on the My Grades link from the My Tools
menu.
- The My
Grades screen displays..
- In the
My Grades, three grades are available:
- an
assignment called Assignment 1
- a
gradable discussion called Creation
of Homepage
- a
quiz called Assessment
- The student can see their marks for
each item and if the instructor has
enabled it, they may view statistics
for the particular item.

How Do I
Access Statistics?
- Click
on the My Grades tool from the My Tools
menu. The My Grades tool screen
displays.
- Click
on the View Statistics button, if it is
available. The Column Statistics screen
appears. The Grade Histogram gives the
Score Range on the left hand axis and
the Frequency on the bottom axis. The
red bar will indicate the grades
obtained.
- Name: Description
- Count: The amount of
assignments submitted.
- Average: The sum of all
student scores divided by the amount
of students that submitted the
assignment to give an average score
for this assignment.
- Median: The median column
represents the middle value in a
distribution.
- Maximum: The maximum score
obtained in this assignment.
- Minimum: The minimum score
obtained in this assignment.
- Standard Deviation: The
standard deviation is the amount
which the results differ from the
average score
