Folders

Description:
  • You may create folders to organize the files in Course Content area.
  • You may create folders to organize the files in your Manage Files area.
Who can do what?
  • Designers can create folders.
  • Instructors can edit folders.
  • Students can view folders.
Tip:
  • You can only create folders in the 'Course Content' area or in the 'File Manager' area.

How to Create a Folder
Creating Folders in Course Content area
  1. From 'Build' tab, click on Create Folder.
  2. Type in the name of the folder and/or a description.
  3. Choose item visibility.
  4. Click on Save.
  5. The screen refreshes with the new folder added.

Creating Folders in File Manager area

  1. Click on the File Manager link from the Designer Tools menu.
  2. Type in the name of the folder.
  3. The screen refreshes with the new folder added.

 
How to Edit a Folder
  1. Click on the action link to the right of the folder name that you would like to rename.
  2. Click on the Rename (on File Manager area) or on Edit Properties ( on Course Content area)  option from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the OK button.
  4. The  screen refreshes and displays with the updated folder name.
